Clarena is a Polish cosmetics brand that has been operating since 2005. In 2023, they faced a challenge: an outdated B2B platform that hindered sales rather than supporting them. Most orders were placed by phone, which burdened the Customer Service Office and slowed growth. In response, we created two modern e-Commerce platforms – B2B and B2C – on Magento 2, which transformed how the brand operates. Today, Clarena has a stable, scalable system ready for automation, international expansion, and further development.

Client
Clarena is a Polish cosmetics brand that has been creating cosmetics for various skin needs, professional beauty devices, and skincare accessories since 2005. Their products reach beauty salons, business clients, and individual users in Poland and abroad. The brand runs two sales channels: the B2B platform Clarena.pro for business partners and the B2C store Clarena.eu for individual customers.
Project goal
Clarena needed modern, stable platforms that would relieve the Customer Service and enable independent online ordering. The existing B2B system was outdated and unintuitive – most orders required phone support, limiting sales scale and burdening the team.
Our task was to create two new e-Commerce platforms – B2B and B2C – built from scratch on Magento 2. The project was meant to prepare the brand for international expansion with a multilingual structure, streamline the purchasing process, and provide a technological foundation for automation and further development.
What We Did

We created a complete e-Commerce environment consisting of two platforms: B2B (Clarena.pro) and B2C (Clarena.eu). Each operates in three language versions – Polish, English, and German – enabling service for international customers.
We built the new platforms on a stable Magento 2 architecture that ensures scalability, expansion, and automated implementation. We integrated them with key systems, including Vendo ERP, Synerise, Przelewy24, and PayU. We also implemented a modern design prepared by an external agency, ensuring full functionality and an intuitive interface.
As a result, Clarena gained a modern sales ecosystem ready for growth – both functional and geographical.
We implemented an extensive promotion system, including cart rules, gifts, and customer activity- and purchase-history-based mechanisms. The loyalty program allows customers to earn points on purchases and redeem them for discounts or special offers.
The system handles individual discount thresholds, automatic discount calculations, and promotional campaigns tailored to customer groups. This allows Clarena to conduct advanced marketing automation activities based on purchase data.
This solution builds long-term customer relationships, strengthens customer attachment to the brand, and increases purchase frequency.
On the B2B platform, the product offering available to a specific user depends on the PKD (Polish Classification of Activities) type assigned to the account. This solution reduces the risk of professional products being used by unqualified individuals and enables specialized training to be directed to appropriate recipients.
Thanks to this, Clarena gained certainty that only qualified specialists will use their professional products. This minimizes the risk of complaints and claims while strengthening the brand’s professional image.
International B2B customers are automatically verified in the VIES system, which allows them to purchase at net prices without the risk of double taxation. We created a control panel that supports manual correction and viewing validation history.
Thanks to this, Clarena meets legal requirements, secures the process, and increases conversion among international customers.
Beyond standard support for displaying the lowest price over the last 30 days, we implemented extended control over price change history. This ensures full legal compliance and enables quick data verification during inspections.
The solution reduces the risk of fines and pricing errors while increasing transparency, which customers appreciate.
We prepared a function to automatically calculate the estimated delivery date, which is presented in the order confirmation email. The algorithm accounts for processing time, days off, holidays, and weekends to provide a more accurate delivery date.
Customers immediately know when to expect their shipment, reducing the number of questions to the Customer Service and increasing transparency in the purchasing process.
In the order confirmation email, we added a link to retry payment in case of transaction processing problems. Customers don’t need to contact Customer Service if a payment fails – they can quickly check the transaction status and retry it with a single click.
This solution reduces abandoned cart rates and relieves the support team.
On the B2C platform, we implemented intuitive filters that make it easy to find products tailored to skin needs, problems, or active ingredients. Thanks to this, customers can discover cosmetics that meet their needs more quickly.
The result? Lower risk of product selection mistakes, which translates to higher conversion on listings and fewer returns.
At checkout, we highlighted the payment methods most frequently chosen by customers. BLIK, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are presented in a prioritized order, which shortens the purchase completion process and reduces abandoned cart rates.
The solution adapts to contemporary shopping preferences, where fast mobile payments dominate.
