To increase the share of the e-Commerce channel in total company revenue, we built a new B2B platform for Edu-Książka. One that’s free from technical debt and enables both B2B and B2C sales to run within a single system. This unified all online sales into one modern data-driven e-Commerce ecosystem.

Client
Edu-Książka is a company that has been selling textbooks and books in both B2B and B2C models for nearly 25 years. Over the decades, its offer has expanded to include games, puzzles, and stationery items.
Project goal
At the outset of the project, Edu-Książka aimed to create a modern e-Commerce system that would integrate with the company’s entire data flow and combine B2C and B2B commerce into a single ecosystem — simplifying internal processes across the organization.
The B2B platform implementation was the next step in our collaboration with Edu-Książka, following the launch of their e-Commerce store for end customers. Since the analytics and wireframing phases were already completed, we could move straight to development.
We built the B2B e-Commerce platform for Edu-Książka on Magento, using the Multistore functionality. This allowed us to quickly launch a new store based on the previously developed Bookland.pl platform, enabling management of both sales channels from a single admin panel.
The B2B store was integrated with a PIM system to simplify product data management, and also with the ERP system. As a result, essential information such as customer-specific discounts and business documents are automatically transferred from the ERP to Edu-Książka’s B2B platform.
Since B2B purchases are typically made by a purchasing committee rather than a single individual, we implemented a feature on the Edu-Książka platform that allows admins to define user access levels. This lets clients mirror their internal buying processes directly within the B2B store and place orders more efficiently.
We also implemented a feature that blocks ordering for customers with overdue payments. This helps Edu-Książka protect its financial liquidity.
To give customers full visibility of their purchases, we created a dedicated panel that displays all key information, such as credit limits, current balance, overdue payments, and minimum logistics thresholds.

We implemented the Edu-Książka B2B platform as part of a larger e-Commerce system. By using Magento’s Multistore functionality, we combined B2C and B2B sales on a single Magento instance. Integrations with systems like ERP and PIM enabled a modern e-Commerce data flow.

Financial safety ensured
To protect our partner’s cash flow, we implemented a feature that blocks purchases when previous payments are overdue. This way, Edu-Książka no longer has to worry about customers placing multiple unpaid orders – the system blocks further purchases until payments are cleared.

The Edu-Książka B2B platform is built on Magento’s open source engine. Thanks to its modular architecture and nearly limitless flexibility, the store can grow in multiple directions. Need advanced features or expansion into new markets? Magento can handle even the most complex e-Commerce ecosystems.
