Client

Carpeto is a brand that has been operating in the home decor industry since 2015. Its portfolio includes over 20,000 machine-woven rugs, which it distributes through an extensive network of partners in Poland and across Europe, as well as via its own online store.

Project Goal

The main objective of this project was to streamline the product information management process in Carpeto’s sales system by migrating from Pimcore, which did not meet business expectations, to Akeneo PIM, which was better suited to the client’s needs.

We began the Akeneo PIM implementation with a pre-implementation analysis, which allowed us to base all subsequent actions on real data and ensure a smooth deployment process.

While working on the PIM implementation, we developed the Akeneo product architecture and imported both simple products and product models. As a result, all product information was organized, streamlining its further management.

After implementing Akeneo, we populated it with products, which saved the client significant time that would otherwise have been spent on manually entering data into the PIM system.

Once all products had been imported into Akeneo PIM, we integrated the system with the Magento store using the official Akeneo Connector module.

Carpeto Rugs® has its own warehouses in central Poland. To ensure the best possible order fulfillment, we created a dedicated module that informs end customers about the estimated delivery date. This feature enables setting delivery times per product, globally, and even takes into account public holidays or the cut-off time after which the next delivery day is calculated.

To meet customer expectations regarding payment methods, we implemented the Stripe module, which supports the popular Przelewy24 gateway, credit cards, and Blik.

To make it easier for end customers to find products that meet their needs, we developed an advanced search engine. In the autocomplete window, it displays the entered phrase, suggested products, and categories matching the query.

To build the highest possible level of trust in the brand, we integrated Carpeto.pl with the TrustMate review system. We implemented all necessary widgets, making it easy for end customers to check other users’ reviews and leave their own.

Radically easier and shorter work with product data

  • Easy data import

    Carpeto wanted their PIM system to be intuitive enough for them to handle ongoing tasks independently, without developer involvement. Choosing Akeneo PIM proved to be an excellent solution. The client was able to create a product import file on their own and use the native mechanism to import it into the system.

  • Efficient service

    After implementing Akeneo PIM, the client can now boast a well-organized product information management system, which allows them to easily carry out all tasks related to product editing and product architecture in their store.

The decision to choose a partner for handling Magento + PWA and a PIM-class system was not easy. After a detailed analysis, we chose Satisfly, and we do not regret this decision. Before starting the project itself, together with Satisfly, we defined the requirements and key business objectives. Above all, I appreciate the PM’s approach for providing a constructive perspective (not every idea should be implemented in the MVP version).
